TEFL CERT. COURSES RECOGNISED BY THE ELT COUNCIL
Start your career as an
English language teacher
Easy School of Languages offers courses that lead to the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certification. This course is a requirement set by Malta’s Ministry for Education for those who would like to obtain a licence to teach English as a foreign language. The course is broad, and involves teaching methodologies, language skills and classroom management.

Courses
Our TEFL Cert. Courses are now eligible for funding under the Training Pays Scheme. The scheme offers assistance in the form of a training grant to aid participants with costs related to training. The grant will be awarded to the eligible individual (trainee) after the successful completion of their training. Grant shall be equivalent to 75% of the direct training cost excluding VAT but will not exceed the maximum amount of €1,000. The minimum threshold for an application to be accepted will be set at €100.

The scheme only applies for level rated courses MQF Level 1 to 5, kindly remember that TEFL Cert courses are pegged as a level 4 award on the NQF

Applications for funding must be submitted at least 15 days before the course start date

The invoice and payment date for the course cannot precede the application for funding date

Tutor
The course is designed and led by Alan Marsh B.A., M.A., M.Ed. (ELT), Cambridge ESOL CELTA and DELTA. Alan has over 35 years teaching and teacher training experience in various countries. He has taught and developed teachers from all over the world. He is also President of MATEFL (Malta Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language) www.matefl.org. Alan is also a Course Tutor on the internationally prestigious Cambridge ESOL CELTA and DELTA courses.

NB: Many EFL schools in Malta and Gozo use Alan’s courses as a source for employing new teachers, particularly in the summer months.

Our TEFL courses include a preparation session for the SEPTT examination at no extra charge for all registered TEFL participants.
Non-registered TEFL participants can join the session at an extra charge of €30.00.
